A choppy day on Windermere yesterday, with squalls of force 3/4 pushing through from the South West. Sometimes rafting up (as in the case of the photo above) is the only course of action to take to make any headway. Of slight ‘interest’ was the fact that the left canoe (the upwind one) needed constant bailing out as the waves often crashed over the sides – this kept one member of the team busy for nearly an hour!
